Free Outdoor Action trips and activities
Experience nature and recreational activities with Outdoor Action (OA), Princeton’s outdoor education and leadership development program. OA invites the campus community to a full moon night hike in the Institute Woods, afternoon kayaking on the D&R Canal and indoor rock climbing at the OA Climbing Wall. Banff Centre Mountain Film Festival World Tour 2025

Princeton’s Outdoor Action Program presents this 29th annual festival, showcasing the world’s best adventure documentary films on mountain-related subjects, including climbing, hiking, kayaking, mountain biking, skiing, trail running and more.

Sustainable Campus Forum 2025

Join the Office of Sustainability and campus partners for panel discussions and tabling expo celebrating this year’s Campus as Lab projects. “Bird Safe” YouTube Premiere

Hundreds of millions of birds die annually in the U.S. due to collisions with buildings. A small group of Princeton students witnessed this problem on campus and worked to develop a solution, ultimately convincing University administration to adopt it. The short film “Bird Safe,” by Jared Flesher, communications specialist in the Office of Sustainability, documents the students’ efforts to make Princeton a bird-safe space. Watch the premiere online at 10 a.m. on April 10.

Millstone Stream Cleanup
8:30-11 a.m. | Plainsboro Recreation and Cultural Center
Join EcoReps and the Office of Sustainability in a cleanup of the Millstone River, in partnership with New Jersey’s Watershed Institute, an organization committed to maintaining clean water and fostering healthy environments through conservation, advocacy, science and education. Everyone from Princeton’s community is invited. Breakfast will be provided, and transportation can be arranged. Sign up to volunteer.

Gravity Vault Princeton Earth Day Movie Night
6-9 p.m.
Celebrate Earth Day with a screening of “Conserve” at the Gravity Vault of Princeton, an indoor climbing gym. This film focuses on responsible climbing and land stewardship in New York’s Shawangunk Mountains, emphasizing the effects of climbing on the delicate landscape and what climbers can do to preserve it. Sustainable Princeton Earth Festival and Trashion Show

Join Sustainable Princeton and Morven Museum & Garden for a day of eco-friendly fun highlighting local sustainability efforts. The fun and unique Trashion Show will display innovative fashions crafted from recycled and repurposed materials. Everyone is invited to walk in the show, as well as enter the design competition. MEND Clothing Alterations and Repairs

Driven by a love for sustainable fashion, the student organization MEND instructs faculty, staff and students in sewing and mending techniques to minimize clothing waste and consumption. Bring your repairable garments, and MEND students will offer their assistance. Learn more.
Greening Move Out 2025: Call for volunteers
The Greening Move Out Program, led by the Office of Sustainability, aims to promote sustainability and reduce waste during the move-out process. It collects donations from undergraduates leaving the dorms for the summer or after graduation, with items being reused or donated to local charities and organizations.
The program seeks faculty, staff and student volunteers to join the 2025 effort. Volunteers will be stationed around campus and staff designated tents where students can drop off furniture and dorm items during the Move Out period. Training will be provided. Learn more and sign up to volunteer.
