Princeton University’s TigerTransit bus service provides a safe, convenient and sustainable transportation option for traveling around the Princeton campus and its surrounding community.
The new platform aims to streamline parking and transportation for the University community by helping users explore sustainable commuting options such as car or vanpooling, public transit, biking and other eco-friendly options.
Before renewing your parking permit this year, Transportation and Parking Services encourages faculty and staff who drive to campus alone to consider alternatives to their commute.
For years, the Revise Your Ride program has offered employees special benefits when choosing greener alternatives like walking, biking, carpooling or public transportation. The new Commute Hub by RideAmigos makes it even easier to consider the many options available by streamlining commute recommendations based on a user’s University profile and customizable preferences. This initiative supports Princeton’s broader efforts to reduce the demand for campus parking and advance the University’s sustainability goals.
“Commute Hub makes it easier than ever for the Princeton community to explore sustainable commute options and manage their enrollment in Revise Your Ride, whether they are looking for transit or bike routes or a colleague to share their commute to campus,” said Amanda Stevens, assistant director for campus engagement at the Office of Transportation and Parking Services.

Key features of Commute Hub
- Real-time transit and route information: The platform provides up-to-date information for planning trips based on your starting point and destination.
- Pooling opportunities: Users can search for potential carpool partners or volunteer to offer rides, with options to filter based on your requirements, including days on campus, hours spent on campus, and other preferences.
- Tailored benefit options: The platform provides information about available transportation benefits, including incentives and other cost savings based on your University affiliation.
Why revise your ride?
- Environmental impact: Reducing solo driving decreases the number of vehicles on and near campus and helps support the University’s Sustainability Action Plan by reducing air pollution, carbon emissions and traffic congestion.
- Cash incentives: Employees who opt for alternative transportation methods instead of using a parking permit are eligible for rewards, such as cash incentives or transit subsidies.
- Increased connectivity: Car and vanpooling offers a unique opportunity for colleagues across campus to make connections while lowering personal transportation expenses.
- Additional benefits: Revise Your Ride members can access a limited number of one-time-use daily parking passes and guaranteed rides home in the case of family or medical emergencies.
